Let’s promote our local cycling community and inspire people new to the sport to come out and ride.
Go to http://gcr100.com/ to register.
All proceeds from the event will go towards CMHA Kelowna.
Route Distance Options:
-100k to Predator Ridge and back
-50k to Winfeild and back
100/50k Route Details:
Starting from Kelowna Kinesiology (1021 Ritcher St).
We’ll make our way out of town on Glenmore, before we get to the highway, we’ll make the left turn on Okanagan Center Rd. We’ll follow this beautiful road all the way out toward Carrs Landing and up the newly paved road to Predator Ridge. Then we’ll make the descent down making the right turn on Bailey Rd. From here we have the long 8k descent down to where the new highway is completed. We’ll take the off ramp onto Plemewash Parkway (old highway). We will turn left on Oyama Rd to follow the east side of Wood Lake all the way back to Winfeild. To get through Winfeild and avoid the highway, we’ll turn right on Woodsdale Rd which will take across the highway at the lights and we’ll weave our way back to the first aid station on Okanagan Center Rd and you’ll follow your tracks all the way back to the start. The 50k’ers do not do the Preditor Ridge section. They just go out to Winfeild and back.
