Finding Your Balance was created and delivered in partnership with Foundry Kelowna. This course is for family, friends, and parents who are supporting a loved one with a mental health and/or substance use challenge.
The course was facilitated over three Wednesday evenings in July and August. It provided information and strategies for parents, families and friends to maintain their own wellness; to move from fixing to supporting; and to strengthen relationships through boundaries, awareness and reflection. Nine people participated. One participant said, “I found the content to be very helpful and the course gave great insight and learning opportunities. I will continue to look through it after the course to remind myself and to continue to improve and work on communication skills.” This is our second pilot for this course which is running through to October 30. |
