safeTALK at Hollywood Road

Wednesday, May 16, 2018 – 5:30pm to 8:30pm at Hollywood Road Educational Services

safeTALK is a 3 hour alertness training that prepares anyone, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.

safeTALK teaches participants how to:
• recognize a person with thoughts of suicide
• connect a person at risk of suicide to resources and supports that can further intervene
• use the simple yet effective TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe

Cost: This course date is being offered for FREE to parents/caregivers in the Central Okanagan thanks to funding from the Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Local Action Team. The standard course fee would usually be $50/person.

Registration: Space in this course is limited. Please help us train as many people as possible! Notify [email protected] if you need to cancel your registration at any time so we can open up the spot for someone else.

This course is now full. Ongoing registrants will be added to the waitlist and moved into spaces if there are cancellations. You will be notified if your registration status changes. Thank you for your interest in safeTALK, please continue to check our website for future opportunities.
