Amanda Swoboda, Community Education Coordinator
Amanda has a degree in Social Work and has worked in the mental health field for almost 20 years. Amanda’s wide range of experience has involved hospital settings, residential and community support, self-management coaching, youth services planning and community based research.
Currently Amanda coordinates education services for the public at CMHA. This incredibly rewarding position allows for Amanda to pursue a passion for promoting mental health and wellbeing for all ages, across diverse settings (from the sports field to high pressure workplaces) and to actively reduce the shame and stigma associated with mental-ill health.
Amanda is an experienced and engaging facilitator and public speaker, combining an in-depth knowledge of mental health and related issues, a committed interest in social justice with a storytelling approach.
